چکیده
Abstract Pindul cave located in Gunungkidul Regency, Gunungsewu Karst Area, Indonesia has a unique characteristic which is dominated by surface rivers (allogenic recharge) and groundwater (autogenic recharge). The main purpose of this study to analyze temporal variation flood water hydrogeochemistry Cave. Water sampling for analysis taken the wet season three selected events. Parameters consist major dissolved element (Ca 2+ HCO 3 − ); conductivity; total solid; SI calcite; log PCO 2 ; pH. result shows that there was correlation between discharge parameters. events Cave typified low value calcium bicarbonate high CO gas content indicated dillution precipitation processes. also show negative calcite during event mean unsaturated, so it becomes aggressive towards calcite. According characteristics, conduit flow from large-fracture already developed.

Study on the Antibacterial Effect from Moonmilk Pindul Cave, Indonesia
Background and Objective: Antibiotic resistance is the ability of microbes to survive antibiotic exposure with standard doses. Regular updating of antibiotics is one solution to overcome antibiotic resistance. One source with potential new antibiotics is moonmilk from caves because it contains various bacteria proven to have antibacterial activity. The objective of the present study is to explo...
متن کاملδC Characteristics of Soil Organic Carbon in Hilly Karst Area
To understand the effects of geomorphology and environment on the C character of soil organic carbon (SOC) in a hilly karst area, 26 soil samples were collected in 2008 in Nanchuan, Chongqing, SW China. The results showed that the δC-SOC values were between -18.66‰~-27.41‰, with the mean value of -23.3‰. The data firmly indicated that the modern soil organic carbon was the mixture of C3 and C4 ...
متن کاملKarst flash flood in a Mediterranean karst, the case of Fontaine de Nîmes
Karst flash flooding, identified as one of the hazards in karst terrains, is directly linked to the structure and hydraulic properties of karst aquifers. Due to the characteristics of flow within karst aquifers, characterized by a dual flow – diffuse flow within fissured limestone and conduit flow within karst conduits networks – flash flooding may be important in volume and dynamics. Such phen...
متن کاملHydrogeochemistry of the Mid-levels Area, Hong Kong
Groundwater and seepage samples were collected from both the natural and building-modified slopes in the highly urbanized spaces of the Mid-Levels area, Hong Kong. Groundwater in the natural slopes, although retaining some signatures from rainwater, is enriched in major cations such as Na, K, Ca and Mg and some anions such as HCO3 and SO4. Clearly, water-rock interactions, such as weathering of...
متن کاملKilometer-square Area Radio Synthesis Telescope KARST
In 1993, a large radio telescope (LT, now referred as the SKA) was proposed by astronomers from 10 countries at the 24 th General Assembly of URSI. The SKA would be a telescope array with a total (effective) collecting area of about one square kilometer. There are various concepts, worldwide, for realizing the SKA project. Extensive efforts have been made, e.g., by project teams in The Netherla...
